Gutters

  • Gutter Damage

    • Storms can cause gutters to pull away from the roof, creating gaps or improper slope, which in turn effects drainage.
    • Damaged gutters should be prompted identified and repaired or replaced to prevent more costly and extensive damage from water infiltrating the foundation and walls.
    • Improper drainage can lead to dampness, mold, and foundation cracks.
  • Seamless Aluminum Gutters

    • Aluminum gutters never rust, even when clogged, and effectively channel water away from the house.
    • Seamless gutters, versus sectional gutters, offer less leady seams and improved visual appearance.
  • Gutter Protection

    • Protection systems allow clean, clog-free rain gutters without the chore of gutter cleaning and improve the value of your home. Homeowners can avoid ladders or hiring someone to periodically clean the gutters by taking advantage of these systems.

Free Property Inspection

    • Improper Maintenance

      • Overlooking minor damages early on can lead to more serious and costly repairs down the road.
      • Old and worn out shingles can curl, split, and crack, increasing the likelihood that water will reach the interior or the material will be blown away. Nearby materials then become more likely to become damaged or blow away as well.
    • Hail, Snow, and Ice

      • Granules separate from the asphalt and can end up in your gutters drain
      • Missing granules means that the asphalt is exposed to the elements, making it weak and susceptible to curling and cracking. This means possible leaks and wind damage.
      • Leaks can lead to additional damage and more expensive repairs such as mold, electrical issues, and ceiling/wall damage.
      • After snow melts, it often refreezes at the roof’s overhang and blocks proper drainage to the gutter. This can cause water to back up under the shingles or other roofing materials and seep into the interior.
    • Sun, Rain, and Wind

      • Heat and ultraviolet rays cause decay over time.
      • Water that gets underneath roofing materials can cause mildew and rot and possibly lead to issues elsewhere in the house, including walls, ceilings, insulation, and electrical systems.
      • High winds can lift shingles and other roofing materials and force water and debris underneath them. In some cases, wind can cause extensive damage and loosen roofing materials.
    • Moss, Algae, Trees, and Leaves

      • Moss and algae can grow on certain roofing materials. Moss holds in moisture and causes rot and other deterioration.  Algae can stain and discolor materials in addition to increasing damage caused by moisture.
      • Tree branches can often scratch and gouge roofing materials when they are blown by the wind. Falling branches and damage or puncture shingles and other roofing materials, causing rips and exposure and increasing the likelihood of nearby materials being damaged or blown away.  Leaves can retain moisture and cause rot as well as block proper gutter drainage.
